African cure that still confuses western scientists

How African nursing mothers discovered that a piece of thread on the soft spot of a baby's head can stop hiccup still puzzles western scientists.
In ancient Africa, a baby having hiccups was cured with a piece of thread placed on the throbbing soft spot of its head.
In a short time, the hiccup would stop.
This practice has continued till today. A Nigerian lady of Igbo extraction in London told her friends the thread works.
"It works. Tested and trusted," she exclaimed when the practice was being derided. "My mom told me to try it and it workef, she continued.
The practice is therefore growing across the world among Africans in the diaspora. In no time, it will undoubtedly become a global healthcure for hiccup. For now, western medical scientists do not understand it.
