Erikkson, ex Super Eagles coach, THANK YOU ERIKSSON FOR EXPOSING THIS...."After the meeting (interview), an agent whom Athole (Eriksson’s agent) worked with locally explained that half of my salary would be deposited in a special bank account.“It was not too hard to figure out that the special account would involve someone else taking a piece of my pie if I got the job.“There was no way I would agree to that.“I never received an offer of a contract, and it was just as well.”The above quote is an excerpt from MY STORY SVEN, a book written by former England manager, Sven Goran Eriksson.In the book, he was courageous enough to allege and perhaps expose those who demanded half his salary for him to get Super Eagles job ahead of the South Africa 2010 World Cup after Amodu Shaibu was frustrated out.Thank God Eriksson wrote this book before he passed on few days ago. Thank God he was honest and confident enough to reveal this dirty deal which probably had been going on for ages.Sadly and ironically, those involved in this corrupt, shameful and unpatriotic act which splashed mud on the country are freely walking around angling for other national assignments are walking around free.
