A retired Nigerian American soldier has reacted to a viral video showing a Nigerian in the Ukrainian army fighting in the ongoing Ukraine -Russia war. The Nigerian, a medical doctor, was being interviewed in the video. He was a student in Ukraine before the war broke out.
Seeing the surprise the video elicited among Nigerians, the ex soldier said, "My brother, l met many Nigerians in the British military, French Gerndarme, Austrian military, German Army...not to talk of thousands in the US Army... "I personally recruited many Nigerians and Africans into the US Army. We plenty, no be small. I was at some point in the same room with a Nigerian in Iraq. Meanwhile, their own people RUN from enlisting in their own Army. Even Russians (of eligible age) are running to the US for fear of conscription.
