This is the statue of the Virgin Mary with Igbo outlook that I referred to in the post I made a few days ago. It stands before the chapel built in Umueze, Okigwe, by my late cousin, Fr Elias Chima Unegbu, who was also a priest. He was also with us in Germany until his deăth. This is the statue a woman said can hardly motivate one [Catholics] to pray, which made me to ask: Who taught you to hāte yourself? I am posting this picture because some requested in the comment section to see it. Here is it. As a practicing African Catholic, if the statue also irritates you just because it looks like one of you, I ask you: Who taught you to hāte yourself?
