I think it's time we let the world tell us what they understand from our years of teaching them our African culture.
We have outsiders as critics of our works too. And from them we see a cross cultural dialogue that makes a rounder understanding of our world and works.
Things fall apart, like many others of our literature, has been published by foreigners. Our literature cannot flower without foreign intervention.
We too have appropriated some foreign classics on stage, songs, translations etc
Idris Elba and co will be a good beginning to a wider interpretation of TFA.
The next is to have a white man, Chinese, Indian etc interpreting our works in many ways that create a multi cultural universe.
