They still speak and answer Igbo in Suriname 

 Reading a Catholic magazine "The Missionary" in the early 2000's, a Catholic priest from Nigeria met with a native of Suriname bearing the same name with him (Njoku) and he spoke Igbo language too. He was a native of Suriname.

 The Missionary was a magazine of the Camelite Order of Catholic Church.
