British Colonisation: Ohafia, Abam warriors wars in Ashanti Ghana with Jaja of Opobo

King Jaja of Opobo was so powerful in Eastern Ijaw and beyond that the British had to sought his support during their war against the Ashanti people of faraway Ghana which the British won with his assistance in 1874. The following year, Queen Victoria of England had to send him a sword to express her gratitude..
Sources say that's where the Khana (Ghana) and Gokhana (GoGhana) people came from after the Ashanti war in Ghana,
They were resettled here by our ibani people
always using Africans against Africans and take the victory... during king ibanichuka reign in Okirika
The Ohafia warriors were there when the colonial government in need to arrest the king of okrika, formed alliance
with Kalabari, bonny and nembe to attack okrika, nevertheless more than 23 war canoes were seen patroling okrika waterways as war chiefs were in a serious meeting to defend king ibanichuka , however king ibanichuka rejected war for diplomacy and submitted himself to the colonial government..
History made us understand that Jaja move from Bonny as a result of his misunderstanding with Oko jumbo to this present Opobo which was given to him by Andoni people.
The Andoni people claim Ohafia origin perhaps due to the Jaja of Opobo pact with Ohafia warriors.that fought for him in Opobo.
