Nigeria: the next civil war

This is a very current video taken somewhere in the core of northern Nigeria. Several highlights oozes from this video which should be held prominently in the minds of Nigerians, viz:

1. Bello Turji, the Fulani militia-lord, is the individual addressing this gathering of militia.

2. The language spoken here is entirely Fufulde or Fulani, which confirms that this is a Fulani militia.

3. It will be more appropriate to view them as another Taliban group that is operating in the heart of northern Nigeria.

4. The very large size of this cohort of gun weilding mujahideens is indicative of the extent of organization put into creating this monster that they have become.

5. It is obvious that they are mostly foreign fighters mixed with local Nigerian Fulani.

6. The key theme roundly mentioned by Bello Turji in this video was 'jihad', suggesting that this is an exclusive Fulani affair that is beyond the Boko Haram insurgency

7. Following item (6), one can infer that they have the backing and tacit endorsement of entrenched circles of power within and outside Nigeria.

8. Only a couple of days ago, they ambushed two military APC vehicles, liquidated the soldiers in them, carted away all the ammo found within, and burnt the vehicles.

9. Some schools of thought are beginning to suggest that that ambush event was staged and was a decoy used by the powers that back them to provide them with ammo and military supplies.

10. It is believed that this is actually a Fulani jihad group that is gradually fighting to dominate and eclipse the Nigerian territory and create an Islamic Fulani State out of Nigeria.

11. It is believed that they are presently quite active in Katsina, Zamfara, Sokoto, and Niger States, among others.

In view of the anecdotes above, one should be worried about the state of affairs in Nigeria and the direction of Nigeria's trajectory. This is more so as the Nigerian State has completely militarized Southeastern Nigeria, which poses a lesser risk of insecurity to the populace, by far, in comparison to what we are now seeing with Bello Turji and his Fulani army, highlighting the bias of the Nigerian State and its military.

Another point to note is the increasing bold steps taken by Bello Turji's Fulani army and others like them that are also active in the core north to upstage the Nigerian State, and supplant legitmate state authority with a clear intent to run over Nigeria for the Fulani race.
