Poisoning threat: Amaka freed as Canada tells Nigeria to resolve ethnic conflict with dialogue

Reports reaching Blacktata says embattled Nigerian Canadian lady, Amaka who was arrested for calling for poisoning of Yoruba and Edo ethnic groups in Nigeria has been released.

Amaka was arrested following the Nigerian house of representatives' letter to the Canadian government to prosecute and repariate her to Nigeria

But at the trial, Amaka presented video evidence to the authorities, alleging threats against the Igbo people in Nigeria by individuals from other communities.

After reviewing the evidence, the police determined that no further action was necessary and released her without charges.

The Canadian government took the opportunity to emphasize the importance of peaceful conflict resolution, encouraging all parties involved to seek harmonious solutions to their internal disputes.

This stance reinforces Canada’s commitment to promoting global peace and cooperation.
