Yinka, I believe Igboho, like MNK, is aware of the end of Nigeria. If you watched the video up on All empires fall, the power scales ring more fearful for Nigeria.
I once listened to a Yoruba Ifa priest say after all these, Nigeria will go away. Biafra will come to stay. Yoruba will be or negotiate to join Biafra. I remember reading somewhere a Yoruba personality saying the Yoruba nation will come to be without firing a gun.
Igbogho may not be loud as MNK but his move to Downing street is strategic. With IPOB loud and vocal all over, I believe Igboho's move will help IPOB and ignite a more awakening to other nationalities across the country. You see, other ethnic groups are watching out for the outcome of the secessionist moves by the Yoruba and IPOB. Once the coast is clear, the fog clears, they will clamour for their own nations. Then it will be too late for the country to remain as one. Negations on how to align or who to align with will be on top gear.
I believe, though, the powers that be in Nigeria understand the inevitable end of Nigeria as so are committed to the exclusion of the East and much of the eastern region in their developmental agendas for the country, especially, since 2015 under a policy called 97/3%. That is since East didn't vote for the APC, it gets only 3% of the nation's development plan. But is East even getting that percent?
One South African environmental scientist I interviewed at The Guardian talked about the elastic and inelastic pull of a city. The city is stretched beyond its limits like gas in a car. The car will stop since the gas is not refilled. Nigeria is being pulled to its inelastic limits. Like the city or car, it will burst.
And the Igbohos and MNKs are warning the powers stretching the country to the limits of what will happen. For now, as Years writes,
Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer
Things fall apart
The centre cannot hold
Mere anarchy is loos'd upon the land.
