And Tunde, an #EndSARs stray bullet victim, is back on his feet and duty post
Almost four years ago, I took up the challenge.
It was to get the young man(in the pics below) walking again.
Tunde's case was very pathetic then. Had my friends not supported me by way of crowd funding, Tunde would have had one of his legs amputated.
Even when we raised enough for surgery, there was a snag.
A female orthopedic doctor in charge said it was 50 -50. She announced that if Tunde doesn't walk after the surgery, he would have to wait till he turns 40 for a knee cap replacement.
But God showed up.
The lad was sent to physiotherapists after the surgery.
Months came and went and Tunde's support were crutches. He used them for over two years. During the physio period, I ensured I drove him and his dad to keep appointments.
Yesterday morning, as I stepped out for morning walk, Tunde was right opposite my bunk welding a neighbor's gate.
In this life, u need not be a millionaire or billionaire to help people in critical condition.
Thanks once AGAIN to Tony Omoregie who came up with the idea of crowd funding. To Idong Umobong who first dropped chips, I say a huge thank you too.
Blessings also for my other friends that contributed to this success.
