Governor is better than Senate. Senate gives you one voice among 109 in Abuja. Governor gives you Abia budget, 17 LGAs, 3,000 appointments, roads, schools, hospitals. That is why Ohafia must aim for Governor in 2031, not Senate.
But to get Governor, Ohafia must stop lying to itself about history and stop dividing votes into small parties.
*CORRECTED HISTORY — OHAFIA CLAN HAS NEVER HAD GOVERNOR OR SENATE IN DEMOCRACY*
Abia North is 5 LGAs. Inside those LGAs are clans.
Inside Ohafia LGA are 3 clans: Ohafia main ( 8 wards), Abiriba (3 wards), Nkporo. Outside but same blood is Abam in Arochukwu LGA. All four are Ohafia clan — one people.
What have they had since 1999?
- *Abiriba:* Produced Military Vice President Ebitu Ukiwe 1985-1986 and Military Governor in military era. But in democracy since 1999: *NEVER Governor, NEVER Senate Abia North.*
- *Abam:* Our kins in Arochukwu LGA: *NEVER Governor, NEVER Senate.*
- *Ohafia main:* Produced Deputy Governor Ikechukwu Emetu from *Amaekpu Ohafia, Ohafia main* 2023 till date. Before that: *Nothing. NEVER Governor, NEVER Senate.*
- *Nkporo:* Produced Deputy Governor Ude Oko Chukwu 2015-2023 from Nkporo Ohafia LGA. But: *NEVER Governor, NEVER Senate.*
So the whole *Ohafia clan — Ohafia main + Abiriba + Abam + Nkporo* — has had Military VP in military time and Deputy Governor for 16 years straight (Ude Oko Chukwu from Nkporo + Emetu from Amaekpu Ohafia main), but in democratic era *NEVER Governor, NEVER Senate Abia North.*
Compare:
- *Bende LGA:* Produced Democratic Governor Orji Uzor Kalu 1999-2007 and Senate Orji Kalu 2019 till date. And now *Benjamin Kalu* from Bende, Deputy Speaker House of Reps, is eyeing Governor 2031 under APC. Bende had Governor + Senate.
- *Isuikwuato/Umunneochi bloc:* Was one LGA before. Produced Military Governors like Ndubuisi Kanu and Ike Nwachukwu and Ministers like Nwachukwu,*Uche Ogah* — Minister 2019-2022. Ogah is eyeing Governor 2031 and Otti is allegedly backing him under LP. This bloc had Military Governors + Ministers.
- *Arochukwu LGA:* Produced Senate *Mao Ohuabunwa* 2015-2019. And produced Governor *Alex Otti* — though Otti is classified as Abia Central (Isiala Ngwa South), he is *Aro by blood*. So Aro clan has had Senate and Governor.
So if in 2031 Isuikwuato/Umunneochi bloc that had Military Governors and Ministers takes Governor through Ogah with Otti backing, and Bende keeps Senate through Benjamin Kalu, what does Ohafia clan — Ohafia main, Abiriba, Abam, Nkporo — get after 16 years Deputy? Nothing. Ohafia main that had nothing except now Deputy from Amaekpu goes back to nothing.
*ARO WILL SUPPORT OHAFIA CLAN BECAUSE OTTI IS ARO*
Aro will support Ohafia clan for Governor 2031 because Aro already has Governor through Otti — Otti is Aro though Abia Central — and had Senate through Ohuabunwa. Natural alliance is *Aro + Ohafia clan (Abiriba, Abam, Ohafia main, Nkporo) vs Bende + Isuikwuato/Umunneochi bloc.* That alliance has numbers: Ohafia LGA 11 wards + Arochukwu LGA 11 wards = 22 wards.
*THE FIGURES — HOW SMALL PARTIES KILL OHAFIA CLAN*
Look at 2023 figures and what division does:
- Otti LP in Ohafia LGA: *11,848 votes only*. Small because Ohafia LGA was divided.
- If we divide again in 2027 like this:
- ADC son from Ohafia main for Governor: *500 votes* in Ohafia
- YPP son from Abiriba for Governor: *667 votes*
- APGA son from Abam for Governor: *900 votes*
- PDP: *2,000 votes*
- LP Otti: *5,000 votes*
- Total Ohafia clan votes scattered: *9,067 votes* — less than 2023.
Otti will look and say: "Ohafia clan — Abiriba that produced Military VP Ukiwe, Nkporo that produced Deputy Ude Oko Chukwu, Ohafia main that produced Deputy Emetu from Amaekpu, Abam — cannot even give me 10k together. Why should I give them Governor? I will give Governor to Ogah from Isuikwuato/Umunneochi bloc who gave me 10k united, or I will negotiate with Benjamin Kalu from Bende."
Big parties: LP and APC. Small parties: ADC, YPP, APGA, ADP — they give *500, 667, 900 votes*. They cannot win Governor. No Governor in Abia has ever won under YPP, ADC, APGA since 1999. All Governors won under PDP, APGA once, LP. Running Governor under ADC in 2027 is wasting Ohafia main votes.
*HOW TO FORCE OTTI WITH NUMBERS — NOT NOISE*
1. *Unite Ohafia clan — Abiriba, Abam, Nkporo, Ohafia main — as one bloc.* Register voters: Abiriba 15,000 new, Abam 10,000 new, Nkporo 10,000 new, Ohafia main 25,000 new. Old register 20,000 + 60,000 new = *80,000 register*. That is force.
2. *Vote one bus LP 40k for Otti in 2027.* All 4 — Abiriba, Abam, Nkporo, Ohafia main — vote LP for Governor. No ADC 500, no YPP 667, no APGA 900. One bus: *40,000 LP votes* for Otti second term.
If Bende gives Otti 10k because Benjamin Kalu will fight him in APC, and Isuikwuato/Umunneochi bloc gives 10k, then Ohafia clan 40k is biggest bloc in North.
3. *Then go to Otti with numbers:*
"Sir, you are Aro, though Abia Central. Aro had Senate Ohuabunwa and Governor you. We Ohafia clan — Abiriba that gave Military VP Ukiwe, Abam that never had Governor or Senate, Nkporo that gave Deputy Ude Oko Chukwu, Ohafia main that gave Deputy Emetu from Amaekpu and had nothing before — delivered 40k LP, biggest in North. Isuikwuato/Umunneochi bloc that had Military Governors and Ministers and has Ogah eyeing Governor gave you 10k. Bende that had Governor and Senate and has Benjamin Kalu eyeing Governor gave you 10k.
Give Governor 2031 to Ohafia clan, specifically Ohafia main that never had Governor or Senate, only now Deputy from Amaekpu. If you give Governor to Ogah, give Senate 2031 to Ohafia clan. If not, we will take our 50k bloc to Kalu's APC in 2031 and LP will lose North. Aro will support us because you are Aro."
That is how you force — 40k one-bus vs 500 ADC votes.
4. *Use Kalu to checkmate Ogah:* Tell Benjamin Kalu in Bende: "Bende had Governor + Senate. Isuikwuato/Umunneochi bloc had Military Governors + Ministers. Ohafia clan — Abiriba, Abam, Ohafia main, Nkporo — never Governor, never Senate, only 16 years Deputy. Support Ohafia clan for Governor 2031, Bende takes Senate 2031." Bende + Ohafia clan = 70% of Abia North.
*CALL BACK THE ADC SON*
Our son from Ohafia main running Governor under ADC will get 500 votes in Ohafia main and spoil Ohafia clan 40k bloc. Tell him: Run Reps Arochukwu/Ohafia under LP in 2027 where Otti wave plus Aro support — because Otti is Aro — can make you win. Use 4 years to build across Abia as Ohafia clan candidate for Governor 2031. Governor is better than Senate, but Reps 2027 under big party LP is better than Governor 2027 under small party ADC with 500 votes and finished name.
*BOTTOM LINE*
Ohafia clan — Ohafia main, Abiriba, Abam, Nkporo — has never had democratic Governor or Senate. Only Deputy for 16 years: Ude Oko Chukwu from Nkporo and Emetu from Amaekpu Ohafia main. Abiriba had Military VP Ukiwe, but never democratic Governor or Senate. Abam never. Aro had Senate Ohuabunwa and Governor Otti who is Aro though Abia Central, so Aro will support Ohafia clan.
If after 16 years Deputy, Ohafia clan goes back to zero while Isuikwuato/Umunneochi bloc takes Governor and Bende keeps Senate, then Ohafia has been used.
