Afrophobia, identity fraud force Nigeria'sMiss South Africa contender Chidinma out of race


A South African pageant contestant, Chidinma Vanessa Adetshina, born to a Nigerian father, has opted out of the country's beauty contest alleging tgreat to her life. 
Her resignation from the contest cane hours after the South Home Department allegedly circulated a letter that Chidinma was under intense scrutiny amid preliminary investigations by the country’s Department of Home Affairs.
Many South Africans had risen up against Chidinma on the friend that she was nit a South African, even though she has the country's birth certificate. 
But the report only inducted Chidinma's mother, nit the contestant. But she resigned from the contest, as she writes, in securuty issyes. 

The investigations reveal that her citizenship may have involved fraud and identity theft. 

According to a media release now circulating on social media, the Department of Home Affairs launched an inquiry into Adetshina’s citizenship after a wave of controversy erupted online.

Social media users had called for her disqualification from the Miss South Africa pageant, alleging she was not a legitimate South African citizen.
