This is not a true statue of Gilgamesh contrary to popular belief. No artifacts from Gilgamesh's time survive. He lived during pre-Deluge. The statue above which is commonly passed as depicting Gilgamesh is of a member of the Second batch of the Annunaki that came to Mesopotamia after the flood and overthrew the descendants of the Gilgamesh batch of the Annunaki.
